Reflexology

Reflexology is a therapeutic practice that uses controlled pressure, massage and movement to specific areas of the feet with the intent to restore the client to a state of balance and relaxation. It is based on the principle that reflex areas on the feet correspond to all parts of the body and stimulating these areas reduces stress, relieves symptoms and promotes total body relaxation.

Reflexology is offered at the Wellness Center by Cindy Goodwin, RN, MSN, CR, CHTP. Cindy retired from University of Southern Indiana, where she worked as a nurse educator. She has also been an Evansville hospice nurse. She is a certified practitioner of Reflexology. Cindy has special interest in the use of sound, music, movement, art, journaling and creative writing as tools to promote healing, stress management and personal growth for herself and others.
