Lenny Dowhie has been a professor of art at the University of Southern Indiana since 1978. With a MFA from Indiana State University, Lenny teaches all aspects of ceramics. Lenny has earned many grants and awards from his work in ceramics and continues to design and produce pieces for collectors throughout the World. He has lectured at many foreign universities and remains active in many committees and boards for the arts nationwide. With over 90 Invitational / National exhibits to his credit, Lenny continues to remain on the cutting edge of ceramics and ceramic processes.
Lenny Dowhie has created 200 hand painted ceramic plates in honor of Evansville’s 200th Birthday Celebration. This collection of three is from this endeavor.
The proceeds of these plates go to benefit the Lenny & Anne Dowhie Scholarship in Ceramic Art at the University of Southern Indiana and the Evansville Museum of Arts, History & Science.
